Studio Tour

Check out the Photo Tour of Studio A

At Santa Barbara Sound Design you have over forty years serving the regional and world community with unwavering commitment to sonic and artistic integrity. The professional recording and audio industry has evolved dramatically but with that being said there are truisms that exist which cannot be overlooked and must be learned, implemented, and honored.

The Audio Engineering Society was established decades ago to publish standards and practices that are key to delivering integrity in audio for all purposes and applications. Unfortunately, due to the alarming increase and ease of owning inexpensive audio gear the science and artistry of audio engineering gets forgotten or overlooked.

One cannot underestimate the importance of the hours a professional audio engineer or producer has spent developing their craft. As an intern, apprentice, and eventually a journeyman they acquire the skills needed to succeed. Furthermore, the equipment you find in the true world-class recording studios from microphones, to preamps, equalizers and to recording systems both digital and analog, to monitoring systems, and their acoustically treated and designed environments bear little resemblance as to expense and functional integrity and capability often found in home and semi-professional studios.

Take a look at the photos and equipment list; study the list of people and companies that have worked with Santa Barbara Sound Design over the years and know that you are in good hands. Most importantly, we care about our clients and want your project to succeed and will put our heart and soul into your project, empowering you through our musical and technical knowledge and creative use of our equipment to extract the very best results imagined.
